How to play?
This is very simple typing speed test. All you need is to start typing as fast as possible. You have to write current word EXACTLY, letter by letter. After you finish writing word, just press SPACE and you can start writing next one. It's very natural.
If you misspell word, don't worry, type next one. If you want you can erease letter by letter as usual, but you will lose time. Every wrong word is counted, and in the end you will see your accuracy level in percentages.
You have 1 minute (60 sec) to write as many words as possible, so prepare your fingers!
What are WPM and CPM?
- WPM stands for Words Per Minute. That's the amount od words you can write (correctly) in one minute (WPM Wiki). Formula: correct words*(60/sec)
- CPM stands for Characters Per Minute. That's the amount od characters you can write in one minute. Formula: length of words*(60/sec)
- Accuracy is a parameter that shows how accurate the user is when typing. Formula: (correct words)/(word index+1)*100

There is a lot of typing speed tests on the internet, but they all measure speed in a same way: number of correct words written in 60 seconds.
Average typing speed
In 1997. the average typing speeds were 40 WPM, 35 WPM, and 25 WPM. Today, in era of modern computers and keyboards, average typing speeds are 50 to 80 WPM, but some job positions can require 80 to 95 WPM. Some advanced typists work at speeds above 120 WPM.
Stenotype keyboards are special keyboards that enable the trained user to input text as fast as 225 WPM, or faster. All that at very high accuracy for an extended period of time. Stenotype students are usually able to reach speeds of 100-120 WPM in just six months. Guinness World Record for fastest typist on this keyboard is 360 WPM with 97.23% accuracy.
